Getting ear wax removal or ear syringing with the NHS can sometimes be difficult, and waiting times may be long. For some traveling to a clinic may be very inconvenient or simply not possible.
One of our qualified clinicians will come to your home to gently clean your ears using microsuction. Our clinicians may also use other methods to remove the wax, such as water irrigation or by Jobson horn.
WHAT IS MICROSUCTION?
Microsuction is a safe and quick method to remove earwax. As the name suggests a small (micro) suction device is used to gently remove the debris from your ear. Microsuction is the main method method of choice to remove wax for patients who have perforated ear drums, as water irrigation can lead to infections.
Before the microsuction procedure the clinician will explain the process and will answer any question you may have.
